SILS (Safety Integrity Levels)

Mis-applied or miss at your peril?

SILs are being requested more and more for fluid control equipment, but what are they? Are they really necessary and/or appropriate? Can SILs be applied to individual, yet often critically important components, like valves and actuators? If they cannot, how does a product supplier help a system builder meet their needs for SIL targets? All these topics and more will be covered by the BVAA SILs Training Course to be held at the BVAA HQ, Banbury, on 29th June 2007. Expert lecturers Bob Smith and Roger Stillman will deliver a course comprising a mixture of presentations, dialogue and group exercises geared specifically to FMEA for valves and actuators. One not to be missed!
