Active on the technical and standards scene for many years, Peter has recently been appointed as an additional BVAA Technical Consultant.

This is in response to a growing technical workload and ultimately part of the Association’s succession planning.

Peter has already been appointed to look after BSI Committee PSE/18/1 ‘Basic Standards’ (the oversight committee will continue to be led by lead consultant Martin Greenhalgh) and he will also be the UK representative to the respective CEN and ISO mirror committees for those projects.

He is also heading up the revision of the BVAA Valve & Actuators users’ Manual, and is also a welcome addition to the Association’s valued lecturing team, both for regular and bespoke courses.

BVAA Director Rob Bartlett commented, ‘I am delighted to welcome Peter to the BVAA family. His appointment is a major coup for the Association. Already internationally lauded for our standards work, BVAA has substantially added to its already phenomenal technical horsepower.’

BVAA Secretariat will continue to ‘triage’ technical enquiries and direct members to the most appropriate technical consultant for their enquiry.
