BVAA TRAINING COURSE CANCELLATION POLICY
1. Delegate Cancellation
If a delegate is unable to attend a booked BVAA training course, the following terms apply:
- Cancellations received more than 14 days before the course date - A full refund will normally be issued, or (if preferred) the booking fee may be credited against the next scheduled BVAA training course.
- Cancellations received 14 days or fewer before the course date - No refund will normally be available, as event costs will already have been committed and cannot reasonably be recovered, to avoid these costs being passed on to other members.
- Non‑attendance without prior notice - No refund will be given.
2. Delegate Substitution
- A booked delegate may be substituted, at no additional cost, up to 48 hours before course commencement.
- BVAA must be notified in advance of the substitute’s name and contact details.
3. Exceptional Circumstances
- BVAA recognises that exceptional circumstances can arise.
- Requests for refunds or credits outside the terms above will be considered fairly and reasonably at BVAA’s discretion, but cannot be guaranteed.
4. Course Cancellation or Changes by BVAA
- BVAA reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or reschedule a training course where necessary (for example due to low delegate numbers, instructor availability, or unforeseen circumstances).
- In the event that BVAA cancels a course, delegates will be offered:
- a full refund where possible, or
- the option to transfer their booking to a rescheduled or alternative course.
- BVAA cannot accept liability for travel, accommodation, or other associated costs incurred by delegates.
5. Refund Method
- Any refunds due will be made to the original payer, using the original payment method where possible.
Acknowledgement
By booking a BVAA training course, the delegate (and/or the booking organisation) will be required to confirm that they have read, understood, and accepted this Training Course Cancellation Policy. These terms apply to all bookings, whether made by individuals or organisations.
