Subject: Actuators to the rescue – keeping valves operational in extreme conditions

Session Description: No matter where they are in the world, from the cold of the arctic to the red heat of the desert, from the mountains to the middle of the sea and deep underwater, from a sewage treatment works to a nuclear reactor, valves, and the actuators that control them, have to operate safely, efficiently and reliably.

Learn how electric actuators deal with extreme heat, fire, cold, corrosive and explosive atmospheres both on and offshore, and how they can support safe and efficient working practices on site.

Presenter: Martin Hardwidge, AUMA Actuators Limited

About Martin: Martin has worked in the field of industrial control and instrumentation for more than thirty years and has written on the topic for more than twenty, including many articles for Valve User. He is now a Key Account Manager for AUMA Actuators Limited, the UK subsidiary of AUMA Reister GmbH & Co KG. AUMA is the world’s largest manufacturer of electric valve actuators, supplying into virtually every industrial, utility and marine market all over the world.
