KTH Holts’ focus and principles makes us the first choice for a plethora of treatments, including Vacuum work, which is at the heart of KTH Holts’ Nadcap approvals (all vacuum work carries full accreditation and traceability), ultra-low distortion work, dimensionally awkward shapes, and precision treatment of both small and large components as well as bespoke treatments of advanced materials.

In addition to our Nadcap approved vacuum furnace, we also operate one of the largest pit carburising furnaces operating in the heat treatment industry and have comprehensive vertical heat treatment facilities for long components. These furnaces (as well as the others that we operate), allow KTH Holts to offer an integrated stress relieving and straightening service for steel and super alloy bar and finished shafts, down to tolerances of 50 microns TIR on ground shafts of up to 3 metres in length, and slightly lesser tolerances on shafts up to 7 metres in length.

KTH Holts has an impressive history extending all the way back to 1860. We have always been technically driven, offering customers the best possible heat treatment service; from advising on material specification, assisting in process design, and performing the optimum combination of treatments to deliver the required performance in the finished product for critical applications. KTH Holts’ technical abilities are supported with rigorous quality standards that originated in the 1930s through work with the British Engineering Association – the precursor of BSI. KTH Holts have not only sustained their BSI membership, but have also developed their systems to meet the modern demands of the Nadcap accreditation.
