SENIOR QUALITY ENGINEER

With its medium & high-pressure filter and desiccant dryer units LB Bentley also delivers a high level of customised engineering combined with highly skilled small batch manufacture eliminating the risk of obsolescence, providing long in-life service. Purpose: Responsible for supervising the day-to-day activities of the QA and Documentation teams and for performing various quality tasks within the Company under the instruction of the Quality Manager whilst working with your colleagues in the quality assurance department to ensure conformance to company and customer procedures, standards, specifications, and quality planning requirements. Key Duties: The ability to direct the necessary day to day activity of the Quality and Documentation teams at a supervisory level, and for deputising for the Quality Manager where necessary. Alongside the Quality Manager and Inspection Team Leader, assist in determine direction and strategy for Quality within LB Bentley. The ability to cover the tasks relating to all aspects of quality assurance with the Company (e.g. Quality planning, monitoring, analysis, and auditing). To compile Quality Plans/Inspection Test Plans for customer and Company designed valves, filters, and dryers in accordance with relevant legislation, Industry standards, customer requirements, and Company internal quality requirements. The ability to provide quality related technical support for all departments within the Company for customer related queries. Involvement in quality related investigations to provide corrective and preventive actions (e.g. 8-D teams and other route cause analysis tasks). To assist in the development of the internal audit processes within the Company, if requested. To provide analysis data of relevant KPIs for performance review meetings, as required by Quality Manager. To assist in the monitoring of the internal reject (NCR) and supplier reject (GRRN) systems. To support the promotion of continuous improvement processes within the Quality Team for the benefit of the Company (under the supervision of the Quality Manager). To perform any other duty as reasonably requested by the Quality Manager to ensure the objectives of the Quality Team and the expectations of the customer are met. Knowledge, Skills Training & Experience: Supervisory skills desirable A good working knowledge of quality management systems to ISO9001:2015 is important for this position. A background in the Oil & Gas industry or Aerospace within the Quality or Inspection departments would be beneficial. Previous quality auditing and/or monitoring experience is desirable. Ability to work to high standards within a strong safety culture is desirable. You must be able to remain calm under pressure from Company and/or customer demands. Good interpersonal skills and to work well in a team. Good numerical and literacy skills. Proficient in the use of MS office applications, email and internet.
